Cheap Solar Generator Under $1,000: Price, Watts, Safety Guide

0

Solar generators under $1,000 are battery power stations that their sellers say recharge from solar panels, a wall outlet or both. At least three models list a price under $1,000 on their seller pages: EcoFlow’s DELTA 3 Plus at $719, the Goal Zero Yeti 700 at $699.95 and OUKITEL’s P2001 Plus at $729 on sale. The first table is a selection, not every under-$1,000 listing. There is no single best pick, so match the watt-hours and output to the devices you plan to run.

Which solar generators under $1,000 list a price?

At least three models show a price under $1,000 on their seller pages, and the table below is a selection rather than every such listing. Other sellers list the ALLPOWERS S2000 Pro at $664 (sale), the BLAVOR 1600W at $899.99 and the Yoshino B330 with solar panel at $299 (sale). Prices as of October 28, 2026; check the checkout for today’s price.

Model Seller’s listed price Capacity AC output Wh per dollar Seller page
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus $719 Basic (list $799) 1,024 Wh 1,800 W 1.42 Product Page
Goal Zero Yeti 700 $699.95 677 Wh 600 W (1,000 W surge) 0.97 Product Page
OUKITEL P2001 Plus $729 sale (regular $999) 2,048 Wh 2,400 W 2.81 Product Page

EcoFlow’s page lists the DELTA 3 Plus at $719 for the Basic unit, against $799 shown beside it. Its page also offers a solar kit with a 160W panel at $819 and with a 220W panel at $919. The page shows “Out of Stock” at the top, while the Basic option is marked “Pre-order: Ships in late November.” EcoFlow’s page says “Starting at $240/mo and 0% with Affirm. See if you qualify,” and it lists “Flexible installment payment options available.” The page lists 1800W AC output, 2200W with X-Boost (surge 3600W), a 5-year warranty, and a full charge in 56 minutes on 1500W AC input.

The Yeti 700 is listed at $699.95 on the BioLite site, which calls Goal Zero its sister brand. The page lists 677 Wh, 600 W AC output with a 1,000 W surge, 10 ports, 200 W solar input, a 2 Year Warranty and Lifetime Support. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

OUKITEL’s page shows the P2001 Plus at a sale price of $729.00 against a regular $999.00, which the page labels as saving $270. At the regular price, its 2,048 Wh works out to 2.05 Wh per dollar. The page lists 2400W AC output, an 1800W AC input that charges to 80% in 1 hour, a warranty of “1 Year + 2 Extra Years with Subscription,” a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee, and “Fast (3-7 Days) & Free Shipping” from its US warehouse. It shows a 4.8 rating from 16 reviews.

PECRON’s F3000LFP page shows two different prices. The listing shows $1,168.00 (list $2,698.00) for a 3600W AC output and 3,072 Wh unit, while a Halloween banner on the same page reads “HALLOWEEN Sale Off 55% – F3000LFP $899!” Check which price applies at checkout. At $899 the unit works out to 3.42 Wh per dollar, and at $1,168 it works out to 2.63.

A few other models sit just above $1,000. The 4Patriots 1200 and the AlphaCase Elite are each listed at $1,299.00, and the 1200 shows “Join Waitlist.” Growatt’s HELIOS 3600 page shows $1,198.98 as the regular price and $1,599.00 as the sale price, so confirm which applies.

What capacity and output do you get for the money?

Wh per dollar is the battery’s watt-hours divided by the listed price, so a higher number means more stored energy per dollar. Runtime is watt-hours divided by device watts, before inverter losses. The table uses the device wattages Growatt lists on its HELIOS 3600 page.

Device (watts) Yeti 700 (677 Wh) DELTA 3 Plus (1,024 Wh) OUKITEL P2001 Plus (2,048 Wh)
TV, 150 W 4.5 hours 6.8 hours 13.7 hours
WiFi router, 25 W 27 hours 41 hours 82 hours
LED light, 10 W 68 hours 102 hours 205 hours

Panel watts are peak ratings. The Energy Department solar output note says panel output depends on location, weather and orientation. If your panels will sit in partial shade, read solar generator panels in shade before you plan an outage setup.

What can a 1000 watt solar generator power?

Everything running at the same time has to stay within the unit’s output rating, and motors need extra surge watts when they start. A TV, router and LED light together draw 185 W (150 + 25 + 10), which runs for about 5.5 hours on the DELTA 3 Plus’s 1,024 Wh before inverter losses.

The Yeti 700’s page lists 600 W AC output with a 1,000 W surge, so it suits loads that stay under 600 W while running. The OUKITEL portable power station guide says high-draw heating appliances, including space heaters, hair dryers and hot plates, will overwhelm or rapidly drain a sub-$1,000 unit. For the fridge question, read can a 1000 watt generator run a refrigerator.

What can a 3000 or 5000 watt solar generator run?

None of the models in the under-$1,000 list reaches 5,000 watts. Among the larger listings, PECRON’s F3000LFP lists 3600W AC output with a surge of 4500W in 5s, and its 3,072 Wh battery runs a 1,000 W load for about three hours before losses. For any 3,000-watt-class unit, add up the running watts of everything you plug in, compare that sum with the output rating, and add the surge figure for any motor.

Is there a better brand than Jackery?

There is no brand ranking that holds for everyone, so compare the same three numbers on each page: watt-hours, output watts and price. Jackery’s site menu lists the HomePower 1000 v2 at 1024Wh capacity with 1500W output, and the HomePower 3600 Plus Red Cross Edition at 3584Wh capacity with 3600W output. The same menu carries a “Halloween Sale | Up to $2060 Off” banner. Check each Jackery product page for today’s price, then put it next to the models in the first table.

How much fuel does a gas or propane generator use, and is it safe indoors?

Fuel use for a 5,000-watt gas or propane generator depends on the engine and the load, so the figure is in that generator’s manual or spec sheet. Compare its rated fuel use with your local gas or propane price to answer the cost question for your own load. For whether you can run one all night, check the rules with your local authority. If you are weighing the two, read portable power station vs generator.

Gas generators put out carbon monoxide, which is why most buyers look at battery units for indoor use. The CPSC generator safety guide says CO from a generator can kill in minutes, and that one generator produces as much CO as hundreds of cars. CPSC’s CPSC winter generator safety tips say never to operate a portable generator inside a home, garage, basement, crawlspace, shed or other enclosed space, and that opening doors or windows will not provide enough ventilation. Operate it outside, at least 20 feet from the house, not on a porch or in a carport. Look for portable generators with a CO shut-off safety feature.

How do warranty, shipping and refund terms compare?

Model Warranty Shipping Money-back or returns
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus 5-Year Warranty “Free shipping for all!” with no shipment to Puerto Rico, Hawaii or Alaska Check the return policy at checkout
Goal Zero Yeti 700 2 Year Warranty, Lifetime Support Calculated at checkout Check the return policy at checkout
OUKITEL P2001 Plus 1 Year + 2 Extra Years with Subscription Fast (3-7 Days) & Free Shipping 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee; 30-Day Express Replacement Service
PECRON F3000LFP “2+3 Years Warranty!” Fast & Free Shipping 30-Day Money Back

OUKITEL’s two extra warranty years depend on a subscription, so read those terms before you pay. Confirm the PECRON warranty length on its product page, since its banner wording is short.

Which recalls and battery warnings should I check first?

CPSC has recalled the Goal Zero YETI 3000X, the CPSC EcoFlow Delta Max 2000 recall and the CPSC HALO 1000 recall. CPSC also warned consumers to stop using Aeiusny 400W and 500W units sold on Amazon. The CPSC Goal Zero YETI 3000X recall covers only the YETI 3000X, “not the Yeti 500 or Yeti 700.” The EcoFlow notice covers only the Delta Max 2000 (EFD310), not the DELTA Pro or DELTA 3. Look up your exact model name before you order.

For charging and storage habits, read the NFPA lithium-ion battery safety page. For outage planning, the Ready.gov power outage guide is a good starting point.
