Denon Review
HEOS Denon is a wireless audio and home theater company founded all the way back in 1910, when they were best-known for their high-quality gramophone players. Here’s our Denon review.
What Is Denon?
Denon is an audio hardware company founded in 1910 when two Japanese companies merged together. Over the 20th century, Denon was known for its gramophone players, turntables, phono cartridges, tape recorders, and other old-timey technologies.
Starting in the 1970s, Denon launched a full lineup of high-end audio products – including everything from robust direct drive turntables (famous for their huge bases, sloping platters, and beautiful LED displays) along with PCM digital records for studio use.
Later, they pioneered many advanced CD playback devices for both home and studio use – including digital-to-analog converter technology. Starting in the 21st century, Denon introduced some of the first receivers and preamplifiers/processors that incorporated both Dolby Digital (originally known as AC-3) and THX processing.
Finally we get to today, when Denon is a renowned designer of some of the industry’s best specialty, audio, home theater, and custom installation products.
With that rich history in mind, let’s take a look at the products Denon has to offer.
