Is Blaux Heater legit?
Yes, it is a real product you can buy from listed sellers. The 2020 Yahoo Finance release says Blaux is known for its personal air conditioners and launched this heater as a new product. A Birmingham Mail reviewer tried one and reported mostly five-star ratings on Amazon. The TrueGether listing carries an ETL approval claim and a returns note, which you can confirm at checkout.
Most of the promotional copy comes from paid press releases. The 2020 Yahoo Finance press release is labelled a paid press release, and a November 2020 EIN Presswire release carries similar wording. Read these as the seller’s own pitch. The San Francisco Examiner Blaux review sits in the paper’s partner section and repeats the seller’s 50% off offer.
Blaux heater product photoWhat is Blaux Heater, and who is it for?
The Blaux HeatCore is a compact ceramic heater with a fan. You plug it into a wall outlet, point it at the space you want warm, and it blows heated air toward you. The Birmingham Mail reviewer called it “perfect for small spaces, on a desk, a bedroom or facing you on the sofa.”

Size is the main fit question. A 2020 press release says it suits a small room or personal space of up to 240 square feet, and the same release says it is built for personal use and one person’s space rather than large rooms or open floors. Plan for one person’s space.
Blaux heater product photoHow does Blaux Heater work?
The seller describes convection ceramic heating. Electricity passes through the coils, ceramic plates absorb the heat, and the fan blows air across the plates. The 2020 Yahoo Finance release says the antimicrobial filter destroys bacteria, while the SF Examiner says the filter traps particles rather than burning them. The two accounts disagree, so check the manual for what the filter does.
How do you use Blaux Heater?
The SF Examiner gives three steps: place the heater where you want it, switch on the safety switch at the back, then use the buttons on top to set the heat level and time. The 2020 Yahoo Finance release adds that the top power button only works once the back button is switched on.
The Birmingham Mail reviewer describes the top panel as holding power on/off, fan speed and the 1, 2 or 3-hour timer. A November 2020 EIN Presswire release says to plug it in and set your desired temperature, which does not match the controls the reviewer describes. Read the manual before first use so you know which switch does what.
How much does Blaux Heater cost to run?
The Birmingham Mail reviewer estimated 40p an hour on the maximum setting and about 26p an hour on lower settings, in pounds. The reviewer also said the average heater uses nearer 1500 W than the Blaux’s 1200 W, and rated its energy efficiency 7 out of 10.
To estimate your own cost, multiply the wattage by the hours you run it, divide by 1,000 to get kilowatt-hours, then multiply by your electricity rate per kilowatt-hour, which is printed on your bill. At 1200 W for one hour, that is 1.2 kWh.
Which heater pulls the least electricity?
The lowest figure for this heater is its 700 W low setting, which is the one to use if you want the smallest draw. To compare draw across other heaters, read the Most Energy-Efficient Space Heaters guide.
What’s the cheapest heater to run on electricity?
The reviewer’s running-cost figure for the Blaux is 26p an hour on low, which is the cheapest running option the reviewer reported for this heater. The reviewer called it one of the most energy-efficient space heaters on the market at 1200 W. Compare other models’ running costs before you choose.
What does Blaux Heater cost, and where do you buy it?
Prices as of October 31, 2026: the TrueGether listing shows $51.87 for one unit. The bundle prices and shipping figures below come from 2020 press releases.
| Source | What it lists | Price | Shipping or terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| TrueGether listing (October 31, 2026) | BLAUX Heatcore 1200W, one unit | $51.87 | Does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico; returns accepted |
| Birmingham Mail review | Blaux Heatcore on Amazon UK | £78.99 | Amazon UK listing |
| Yahoo Finance press release (November 1, 2020) | 1 unit; 2 units; 3 units; 4 units | $89.99; $179.98; $202.48; $247.47 | Shipping $8.95 to $11.95; 30-day refund on unused purchases |
| EIN Presswire release (November 3, 2020) | Same bundles | Same as above | “You don’t have to pay for shipping”; 30-day refund |
This is desk research, not hands-on testing, so check today’s price, shipping and refund terms at checkout.
The 2020 press copy says Blaux sells only through its own website, yet the listings above show it on Amazon and TrueGether. The press releases also disagree on shipping: one lists $8.95 to $11.95, while the other says you pay no shipping. The press copy advertises discounts of 50% to 55%, so compare the checkout price with the listing. Per unit, the 2020 bundles fall from $89.99 for one heater to $61.87 each for four, so buy more than one only if you need more than one.
What is the refund policy?
The 2020 Yahoo Finance release describes a 30-day complete refund on all unused purchases and a full refund policy for unused, unopened products. The November 2020 EIN Presswire release says to contact customer support and return the purchase for a full refund within 30 days. The TrueGether listing says returns are accepted.
Our suggestion: keep the heater unused in its box, contact [email protected] early, and get return instructions before you post anything.
Side effects, safety and who should skip it
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Tip-over switch | Shuts the fan off if it falls or sits on an uneven surface (Birmingham Mail review; TrueGether listing) |
| Overheat protection | Listed in the TrueGether listing and the Birmingham Mail review |
| Flame-resistant materials | Stated in the TrueGether listing and the Birmingham Mail review |
| Back safety switch | SF Examiner says to turn it on at the back before use; the 2020 Yahoo Finance release says the top power button only works after the back switch is on |
| Timer shutoff | The 2020 Yahoo Finance release says it turns off after the selected time if left unattended |
| Kids and pets | The EIN Presswire release says it is safe for pets and kids; the Yahoo release says the back-switch design suits a home with a child. Both are seller copy. |
| Noise | The description promises a whisper-quiet sound; the Birmingham Mail reviewer found the low setting still loud, too loud for background use in meetings, but not distracting |
Blaux heater product photoOur suggestions: set it on a hard, flat surface, since the EIN Presswire release says it should sit on a flat surface. Plug it straight into a wall outlet, and do not leave it running unattended, even with the timer. A 1200 W heater draws about 10 amps on a 120-volt outlet (1200 ÷ 120), so do not share that outlet with other high-draw appliances. If the plug or cord gets hot, or the outlet trips, stop using the heater and have a qualified electrician check it. For clearance basics, read the Space Heater Safety Guide.
Skip the Blaux if you want to warm a whole room, if you need near-silent operation, or if you cannot keep it on a flat surface.
Does Blaux Heater need to be plugged in, and does it work without power?
Yes, it plugs into a regular wall outlet, so it stops when the power does. If you need heat during an outage, you need a different heater and a different buying decision. Read the Space Heater Safety Guide for the basics before you choose anything.
How does Blaux Heater compare with other heaters?
The reviewer said the £78.99 Amazon UK price was relatively expensive compared with other space heaters on Amazon, but argued that the build quality and low energy use justify it. The reviewer also wished the outer casing were something other than plastic and the low setting were quieter. For other models, the Vornado VH204 heater review covers its three-year warranty terms, and the Cozy Cove Pro heater reviews cover specs, price, complaints and legit checks. For more options, see the Cozy Cove Pro heater alternatives.
Is there a Blaux heater manual?
The 2020 Yahoo Finance release lists an easy-to-read instruction manual, and the EIN Presswire release refers to a user manual that comes with the heater. Ask the seller for the manual for your exact model before you order, so the wattage and switch layout match what you receive.
Can Blaux Heater cool a room?
It works as a fan only, with no air conditioning. The SF Examiner says the fan mode blows cool air, which is the setting for warmer months. For cooling options, see the portable air conditioners page.
Can you trust the seller? How to check before you buy
Blaux is the brand behind the heater, and the 2020 Yahoo Finance release says the company is known for its personal air conditioners. Check the seller name on the listing you buy from, read its returns terms, and confirm the model number matches the one you read about.
The TrueGether listing says the heater is ETL approved, with a tip-over switch, overheat protection and flame-resistant materials. Ask the seller for the ETL certificate for the exact model number, since that certificate is what ties the approval to the unit you receive. You can reach the company at [email protected], the address both 2020 press releases list.
Blaux heater product photoBefore you order: a buyer checklist
- Get the exact model number and the ETL certificate for it from the seller or the blaux heater page.
- Ask the seller what the “340 Watt Heating Power Supply” figure in the 2020 Yahoo Finance release means, since the same release gives 700 W to 1200 W.
- Check shipping at checkout, because the press releases disagree.
- Check the refund window and returns terms at checkout, not just the 30-day figure from 2020.
- Confirm delivery to your state; the TrueGether listing does not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
- Confirm there is no subscription or recurring charge at checkout.
- Read the manual before first use to find the power switch.
- Plug it straight into a wall outlet on a flat surface, not sharing a circuit with other high-draw appliances.
