VRLens360 VR Headsets – Quality Virtual Reality Technology?

Virtual reality is undeniably cool. A device called the VRLens360 VR Headset wants to help you experience virtual reality for as little as $20. Here’s our review.

What is the VRLens360 VR Headset?

The VRLens360 VR Headset is a virtual reality headset priced at $20 online. The headset doesn’t actually include a screen or any electronic components itself. Instead, it’s just a headset with goggles inside. You slide your phone into the front of that headset, play a VR app or video, then experience virtual reality.

The headset is similar to Samsung’s Gear VR and Google Cardboard, both of which allow you to experience virtual reality at a cheaper cost than the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

Today, thanks to VRLens360.com, you can buy a VRLens360 VR Headset for as little as $19.95. That headset fits virtually all smartphones, including all phones between 4.7 and 6.1 inches in size (which consists of most iPhones and Androids released in the past few years).

VRLens360 Features

The VRLens360 comes with all of the following features:

-Easy and convenient way to experience virtual reality

360 degree viewing and motion for full immersion

-Compatible with iOS and Android

-Supports phones between 4.7 and 6.1 inches in size

-Separate adjustments for focal length and object distance

Basically, this is a set of ski goggles with two lenses inside. The lenses go over your left and right eye, then your phone slides in the front. Your phone displays virtual reality images (which consist of two similar images side by side on the same screen), then you enjoy virtual reality. The goggles strap over your head securely, allowing you to look around. Your phone’s accelerometer tracks your head movement, letting you freely look around the VR video or app you’re using.

As an example, check out this video on YouTube designed to work on the Google Cardboard (or any other virtual reality headset). It’s a virtual reality roller coaster ride. You’re free to download any VR app you wish – or watch any VR video – after you buy the VRLens30 headset. If your phone can run it, then it will work with the VRLens360.

VRLens360 Pricing

The VRLens360 is surprisingly cheap. Here’s how pricing breaks down:

-1 Headset: $19.95 USD

-2 Headsets: $32.95

The headsets are available with unique designs – including plain white designs or designs with flames, skulls, and lightning on the outside.

The manufacturer claims the normal retail price is $90, although we couldn’t find any evidence of that online. It appears $19.95 is always the normal retail price. The manufacturer also tells you that this is a “cyber deal” that only lasts for a few more hours. However, the price always seems to be the same whenever we visit the site.

Interestingly, the manufacturer gives you big discounts when you’re ordering a large quantity. If you’re ordering 10 to 20 headsets, for example, then the price drops to $14.95 per headset. If you order 21 to 50 headsets, you’re paying $9.95 each, and if you’re ordering 51 to 100, you’re paying just $4.95 per headset.

Who Makes VRLens360?

There’s little information about the makers of VRLens360 available online. Their official blog states that the company was founded in January 2015. They also claim to be the leading provider of virtual reality glasses for 500 schools across the State of California.

The company states that all orders are shipped directly from their US-based warehouse. However, they don’t list where the glasses are actually made (many similar VR glasses are made in China and other countries with cheap labor and resources).

You can get in touch with the manufacturer of VRLens360 by email at [email protected] or by phone at 855-284-8070.

Should You Buy the VRLens360 Virtual Reality Headset?

Over the past few months, we’ve seen a number of cheap virtual reality headsets appear online. Typically, these headsets are priced between $50 and $70, and you need to buy 10+ if you want to drop the price to $20. It’s refreshing to see that VRLens360 drops the price to $20 right off the bat, and you can save even more money by ordering 2 or more at a time.

The $20 price point is important. With other virtual reality headsets, we typically recommend buying the Samsung Gear VR ($80 to $100) or Google Cardboard ($20) instead, depending on your budget. Thanks to the cheap price point of the VRLens360, and the fact that it uses plastic instead of cardboard, it’s a superior option to the Google Cardboard.

At $20, the VRLens360 is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to enjoy the magic of virtual reality from the comfort of your own home. If you have a modern smartphone (anything between 4.7 and 6.1 inches in size), then it will work with your VRLens360 Virtual Reality Headset.
