What is Reimage Repair?

Reimage Repair, also known simply as Reimage, is a new Windows software that promises to scan and diagnose critical problems on your PC.

The program is available as a free download online. After you download the program, it scans your computer, identifies hundreds of problems, and then requests you to pay in order to fix those problems.

Surprisingly, Reimage Repair claims to use “patented technology” to reverse the damage done to your PC. That technology also claims to be the “only PC repair program of its kind that actually reverses the damage done to your operating system.”

So far, the program claims to have been downloaded over 360,000 times.

How Does Reimage Repair Work?

Reimage Repair claims to work by scanning your computer for five categories of problems, including:

  • -Hardware
  • -Security
  • -Stability
  • -Malware
  • -Viruses

Once the scan is over, you can compare your PC with the worldwide average, then review a summary of the problems detected during the scan.

Reimage Repair claims to specialize in finding problems like registry errors, Active X problems, and other “system conflicts”. It specifically claims to fix Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) issues, damaged DLLs, “freezing computer” problems, virus damage, and other general “Windows errors”.

How to Download Reimage Repair

Reimage Repair is available online for a free download from the official website, ReimagePlus.com.

It’s compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 (32/64 bit), 8 (32/64 bit), 8.1 (32/64 bit) & 10 (32/64 bit).

The file is 746kb in size and comes in the form of an .exe file. You click that .exe file to install he program, and then it starts scanning your computer.

Reimage Repair Pricing

Reimage is free to scan your PC. Once it finds hundreds (or even thousands of errors), which it always does, you’ll be asked to pay $70 for the program for a one year subscription.

You can also buy coverage for two more PCs for $30. This option is selected by default, so make sure you uncheck it to drop the price down to $70.

$70 for a one year subscription makes Reimage Repair one of the priciest consumer software programs we’ve reviewed. That’s more expensive than most antivirus software – which actively protects your computer from virus threats using a database that’s constantly-updated. Reimage Repair, on the other hand, does not appear to be updated in any way after it’s installed.

Reimage Repair offers discounts on business plans and technician plans. You can pay a discount rate to buy unlimited licenses for your business. You can contact the company to inquire about business plans here: Reimageplus.com/technician-plan/

Who Makes Reimage Repair?

Reimage Repair is made by a company named Reimage Ltd. That company lists its “Financial Headquarters” as the following:

3 Athinodorou Street
Dasoupoli
2025 Nicosia, Cyprus

You can get in touch with the company by emailing pr@reimage.com. Or, fill out their email form here: Reimageplus.com/contact-us/

The company claims its software was made by a team of “30 highly experienced IT experts and programmers.” Meanwhile, the company’s support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (but only to existing Reimage customers).

Should You Use Reimage Repair to Fix Windows Problems?

Reimage Repair is a pricey PC software that promises to clean your registry and fix errors – but it hasn’t really gone through any independent testing to confirm its effectiveness.

There’s also the problem that Reimage Repair appears to find errors even on clean systems. It other words, some of the errors may be exaggerated. Once you’ve found out how infected your system is, you’ll be asked to pay the $69.95 subscription fee for one year of coverage, after which the errors on your system will be magically fixed.

Ultimately, Reimage Repair is similar to many other PC software programs we’ve seen on the market in the last decade: they offer a free install, promise to fix registry errors and other vague problems, and then find hundreds of errors on your PC – regardless of how clean it really is. Then, they charge you a huge fee to fix those errors.

Despite the bold claims made by its manufacturer, there’s limited evidence that Reimage Repair works as advertised to speed up and fix your PC. However, the program does come with a full money back guarantee – so Reimage Repair may be a risk-free purchase for those willing to try everything to fix their computers.
