Commando Review – Patrol LED Tactical Flashlight?

Commando Light is a multi-action flashlight that comes with way more than just a bright light on the front. Is Commando Light worth the price? Find out today in our review.

What is Commando Light?

Commando Light is a flashlight that recently launched online as part of a “2 for 1” offer. The flashlight describes itself as a military-grade tactical LED flashlight that combines a flashlight with a laser.

It also claims to be the world’s only rechargeable tactical flashlight capable of lighting up an entire building. In a promotional video for the flashlight, a man dressed in combat fatigues is shown pointing the flashlight at a four-story building, causing the entire building to light up.

Let’s take a closer look at the features on this As Seen On TV product.

Commando Light Features

Commando Light claims to put the latest military-grade technology in the palm of your hands. It claims this technology is the same technology used by elite special forces military units and that “it’s just been released to the public.”

Here are some of the features included on this flashlight:

-1200 lumens (capable of being seen two miles away)

-Blinding strobe mode which can temporarily blind and disorient attackers with a flashing red light

-Serrated bezel edge that “inflicts maximum damage” if you need to physically strike an opponent. This edge is found around the head of the flashlight and looks relatively sharp

-Rechargeable (via USB) and never needs replacement batteries (USB charging cable is included)

-Can zoom in to focus on a specific target, or zoom out to illuminate a wide area

-Built-in utility knife, scissors, bottle opener, nail file, and other tools in the handle of the flashlight, similar to what you’d find on a Swiss Army knife.

-Emergency escape tool that lets you cut a seatbelt strap using a special edge and then break open your window using a cone-shaped piece of metal that protrudes from the device

-Made from machined stainless steel with a rubber anti-slip body

-Water-resistant design

In promotional videos advertising Commando Light, people are seen using the flashlight in their vehicle to cut open a seatbelt and break a window, or they’re seen holding the flashlight at night to blind attackers.

To prove the 1200 lumens claim, there’s also a video where somebody is seen on an island two miles across the water at night. They turn on the flashlight and you can see the bright light visibly from 2 miles away. It’s unclear if that video is real or not – but most flashlights in this price range don’t deliver anywhere close to that level of brightness.

Commando Light Pricing

Commando Light, like most As Seen On TV products, comes with a confusing pricing policy that makes it difficult to determine the final price you’re going to pay. Nevertheless, we’ve done the math to tell you how pricing breaks down:

-1 Flashlight: $27.98 ($19.99 + $7.99 Shipping)

-2 Flashlights: $35.97 ($19.99 + $15.98 Shipping)

Another problem with As Seen On TV products is that they come with ridiculously long shipping times. Commando Light claims that you should allow up to 6 weeks for shipping, although most products are delivered more quickly.

That long shipping time is a problem because Commando Light comes with a 30 day refund policy. You can return the product within 30 days of your purchase for a full refund – although you might not even receive your flashlight within 30 days. You also never get a refund on processing and handling costs.

You won’t find Commando Light in any stores. It’s exclusively available as part of this online offer.

Your purchase comes with a USB charging kit. In the videos, customers are seen charging the flashlight in their car using a cigarette lighter charger. However, it’s unclear if that’s included with your purchase or not. All we know is that it comes with a USB charging cable.

InvenTel’s products are seen on more than just TV: they’re also available in-store at Target, Walmart, RiteAid, and many other retailers. The company has been around for decades – since the conception of the DRTV industry.

Other popular products made by the company include DashCam Pro, HD Free TV, and Square Copper Pan Pro, among many others.

Should You Buy Commando Light?

Commando Light claims to be the last flashlight you’ll ever need to buy. It claims to use the latest military-grade technology that was just made available to the public.

I don’t think that’s true, as genuine police and military-grade flashlights cost hundreds (even thousands) of dollars.

However, Commando Light does feature a variety of tools packed into a compact design. The base of the flashlight is like a Swiss Army knife, for example, while the beveled head of the flashlight could be used as a weapon. The 1200 lumens LED light claims to be visible from over 2 miles away. And, there are special tools on the flashlight to help you break out of (or into) a car.

At this price range, you don’t expect to see so many tools rolled into one simple design. If you want a flashlight that comes with extended features, tools, and usefulness, then the Commando Light may be the right flashlight for you.
