UV Safe 360 Review – Portable Germicidal UV-C UltraViolet Light Sanitizer?

UV Safe 360 is a germicidal ultraviolet light that claims to sanitize pathogens and eliminate mold, bad odors and germs, viruses and harmful bacteria in the environment by effectively deactivating their DNA.

Here’s our safety research on the highly-touted and sought after UVSafe360 review.

What is UV Safe 360?

UV Safe 360 calls itself an “ultraviolet light sanitizer” and a “portable pathogen eliminator” that has a 1 second chemical free antiseptic that is environmentally safe and promises results upon impact.

By utilizing and waving a simple flash of potent ultraviolet light over pathogens, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants, you can purportedly eliminate all active bacteria and viruses in the surrounding areas with this tactical military-strength compact flip design device.

The ultraviolet-based germicidal radiation and irradiation sanitary device also claims to be recommended by doctors, used in hospitals, and is perfectly safe to use anywhere around the house and especially for travel use. It’s a small handheld device that is about 9.5 inches long and weights just 65grams so it can easily be slipped into a purse or a backpack.

The manufacturer of revolutionary high-tech UVSafe360 recommends taking the device with you wherever you go no matter how much of a seasoned traveler you might be. You can use it to defend against modern pathogen-related problems like the Zika virus – something the WHO has recently declared a global health emergency.

The device itself is about 10 inches long and can fold easily for increased portability. It weighs just 65 grams.

UV Safe 360 is currently being sold exclusively online through a 75% off offer.

But does the Ultra Violet Safe 360 actually eliminate viruses and bacteria with light? Let’s find out more about how it works.

How Does UV Safe 360 Work?

UV Safe 360 claims to use “powerful 253.7nm UV-C wavelength” light to eliminate all of the following types of pathogens:

  • -Viruses
  • -Bacteria
  • -Fungus
  • -Mold
  • -Odor

You scan the germicidal UV-C lamp light over surfaces in your home. When you activate the light, the safety guard directs that light exactly where it needs to go. There’s actually a safety switch on the device that automatically deactivates the light when the device is turned upwards – so the user is never exposed to the light.

With just one second of light, you can wipe out pathogens around your home. The manufacturer recommends you use the light on your keyboard, toilet, bathroom, phone, cutlery, airplane seats, and “even baby pacifiers”.

In the worlds of the manufacturer, UV Safe 360 “emits UV-C light that has lethal effects on germs and bacteria by destroying the DNA of odor-causing and allergy-inducing microorganisms. This sanitizer virtually eliminates unwanted bacteria, including E. coli, H1N1, MRSA and more.”

The manufacturer also follows up by stating that UV Safe “penetrates the micro-organism’s cell membrane to kill the DNA of illness causing viruses and bacteria for an efficient chemical-free sanitation.”

Although the light has a safety switch, the manufacturer still recommends that you use sunglasses when using the UV Safe 360.

The device runs on 4 x AAA batteries but can also run over micro USB.

UV Safe Sanitizer Pricing

UV Safe 360 is available online through an offer advertised as 75% off. You can save even more money by ordering multiple products with one order:

  • -1 Light: $66
  • -2 Lights: $107
  • -3 Lights: $144
  • -4 Lights: $179
  • -5 Lights: $206
  • -10 Lights: $360
  • -15 Lights: $460
  • -20 Lights: $560

The manufacturer claims that the normal retail price is $265, but you can get the light today for only $66.

In reality, we’ve never actually seen the UV Safe 360 sold online for $265. For all intents and purposes, the $66 “discount” price is the real retail price. So don’t feel like you’re getting some amazing exclusive offer.

When you visit the official UV Safe 360 website online, you’ll see a countdown ticking away from 30 minutes down to 0. When that countdown runs out, your free shipping offer will expire. In reality, you can refresh the page at any time to get that offer back – so don’t feel rushed into making a fast decision.

All of the above prices include shipping. The manufacturer does not, however, ship batteries with any of the flashlights.

You can pay at the official website by VISA or MasterCard.

Does UV Safe 360 Actually Work?

You may be skeptical that running light over a surface can eliminate “virtually all” bacteria and viruses that are present. So does UV Safe 360 actually work? Or is this just one big scam?

To answer that question, we have to look at the wavelength: 253.7nm UV-C light is also known as “germicidal light”. According to Wikipedia:

“A germicidal lamp is a special type of lamp which produces ultraviolet light (UVC). This short-wave ultraviolet light disrupts DNA base pairing causing thymine-thymine dimers leading to death of bacteria on exposed surfaces. It can also be used to produce ozone for water disinfection.”

All research suggests that the light works as advertised to destroy harmful bacteria and germs.

However, researchers caution that short-wave UV light can also be harmful to humans. On exposure, it can cause sunburn and skin cancer over time. It can also painfully inflame your cornea – which is why UV Safe 360 comes with a safety shield.

In short, UV Safe 360 appears to work as advertised to emit germicidal light.

The only real “catch” with UV Safe 360 is its high price tag. You can purchase germicidal light that emit the same wavelength as UV Safe 360 at a fraction of the cost.

1000 Bulbs, for example, sells this germicidal tube lamp at a price of $7.29. You can find plenty of other options on eBay and similar retailers for under $10.

So basically, with UV Safe 360, you’re paying a premium (around $50) to enclose that light in a portable carrying case attached to a lithium ion battery and AAA battery pack. Some people are willing to pay that price, while others will go for a cheaper option.

Who Makes UVSafe 360?

UV Safe 360 lists very little information about itself online. We know that the company is based in the Netherlands at the following address:

Postbus 8203
6710AE EDE, Netherlands

You can contact the company by email at [email protected] or by phone at +3120-808-6353.

Should You Use UV Safe 360 to Eliminate Harmful Germs and Bacteria?

UV Safe 360 is a portable light that emits a specific wavelength of light called “germicidal light”. That wavelength has been proven to eliminate bacteria and germs. You can buy germicidal lightbulbs online for $10 to $20.

For a price of around $60, you get a germicidal light enclosed in a portable carrying case. You can also save even more money by ordering multiple units of the UV Safe 360.

Ultimately, the UV Safe 360 appears to be an effective way to remove germs and bacteria from your environment – although it’s priced slightly higher than most competitors.
